SERVICES

We will use the skills you taught us,

And remember our youth workers,

Not as youth workers, but as friends.

MENTORING:

We recruit, select and train volunteers from our local community to mentor young people.

Prospective mentors are trained in the basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to build an effective and safe mentoring relationship.

All prospective mentors will undergo the enhanced DBS process.

We also provide group mentoring run by our skilled youth work team.

Group mentoring can be effectively used with older young people using “the power of the group” to affect positive changes in the young persons.

YOUTH WORK:

2

We work with varied partners to deliver youth work activities across Reading.  We provide youth club sessions, projects, trips out, out of school holiday activities, street work, sports, arts and drama activities.

We also provide informal education programmes and a homework club.
